Find The Kids Martial Arts Classes That Works Best For Your Child
We know that no two students train the same. They all have different skill sets and interests.
That's why we offer two programs - each designed to develop students in their own unique way. We don't necessarily recommend one over the other but we do invite your child to try them both and see which one they like best.
At Universal Martial Arts Center - Palm Desert, your child can take on:
Karate: Taught in the traditional style of Shorin-Ryu Karate, this program is focused on stand-up striking and equipping your child with basic self-defense strategies. We start at the very beginning and build students up one step at a time, eventually moving on to Katas, Self Defenses, Weapon Defense, Ground Defenses, Sparring and Weapon Demonstrations. Our Karate classes include:
- Peewee Karate: 3 to 5 year olds
- Basic Karate: 6 to 12 year olds
- Intermediate: 8 years and up
- Advanced: 10 years and up (Must bet at Red Belt Rank)
Krav Maga Kidzone: This program adapts the teachings of real-world self-defense into a kid-friendly program that is great exercise and a great way to build your child's confidence. We focus on bully prevention strategies and self-defense for any situation. This class is a great way for students of all backgrounds to develop strength, balance, coordination, and body control.
